Garden #2 - the Backyard Raised-Bed Garden - August 2011

How much produce can you grow in a small yard? LOTS!!

Ruth and Heloise's garden has produced an enormous amount of produce - 11 kg of fruit in a day, kilos of peas, beets. Rhubarb has been producing far into the summer because of our cool spring and summer weather. Cabbages planted last summer have produced mammoth heads. Apparently removing some of the leaves forced heads to form.

Check out the photo gallery to see some of the produce from this amazingly productive urban farm.
